Editorial team & methodology

Resumity's guides are authored by the Resumity Editorial team and reviewed for ATS accuracy, honesty, and usefulness. Here is how we work.

Who writes the guides

Articles are published under the Resumity Editorial byline, which\n represents the small in-house team that builds Resumity and writes about careers,\n ATS systems, and the job market. We publish as a team rather than under invented\n individual bylines, because we stand behind the work collectively and update it\n continuously as the market changes.

Every guide is reviewed by at least one other team member before publication. What we say about our own templates comes from automated tests: each template's PDF export is text-extracted in those tests. See how we test templates.

How a guide is made

Research

We start from public sources — U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, ATS vendor documentation, published industry surveys, and platform-reported hiring data — and from what we observe across many resumes processed by our own scanner.

Draft

A team member drafts the guide focused on practical, reviewable steps a job seeker can act on this week, not generic advice.

Review & fact-check

A second reviewer checks claims, removes unsourced statistics or labels them as illustrative, and verifies ATS mechanics against current vendor documentation.

Publish & update

We publish with a Sources & methodology note where statistics appear, and we re-review guides as the market shifts rather than letting them go stale.

Our editorial principles

  • No fabricated experience. We never tell readers to invent achievements, and our product shows AI edits for approval so your real experience stays yours.
  • Label, don't fake. When we cite figures, we label them as illustrative and point to the source types. We do not invent report titles, dates, or study counts.
  • Show the work. Guides that rely on statistics carry a Sources & methodology footnote and a caveat to verify against current primary sources.
  • Improve odds, never guarantee outcomes. We can raise your chances; we cannot guarantee interviews or offers.
