Naukri profile summary generator
Get two profile summary drafts for your Naukri profile, written from the details you enter: the role you want, your experience, your skills and any real achievements. The AI is told to use only those facts. Free, no sign-up, with a live character count. Below the tool: what the summary is for, how long to make it, and 12 example summaries.
What the Naukri profile summary is
The profile summary is a short paragraph on your Naukri profile that describes your experience, the skills you use and the role you want next. Naukri's profile guide calls adding one "a must for a job seeker" because it "gives a clear idea to recruiters about your career and education highlights", and notes that recruiters "won't be able to go through the minute of details".
It works alongside your resume headline: the headline is the one line a recruiter scans, and the summary is where you back it up. Naukri's summary guide says a good one should "succinctly highlight your key skills, experiences, and accomplishments relevant to your target job roles".
How long a Naukri profile summary should be
Naukri shows a character counter when you edit your profile summary. We could not confirm the current maximum from a Naukri help page, so this tool keeps every draft within 800 characters and shows the count as you edit.
Naukri's own advice is to keep it short: Naukri Campus suggests "2 to 3 sentences" for a fresher, and a Naukri blog guide suggests "3-4 sentences". The tool writes 3 to 5.
Rules of thumb for a Naukri profile summary
- Open with who you are at work: role, experience (or "fresher" with your degree) and domain.
- Name the skills from your key skills section, in the words job posts use.
- Add one or two achievements with your real numbers. No number? Describe the scope instead (what, for whom, how often) rather than guessing one.
- Close with the role you want next.
- Write in the first person, without starting every sentence with "I".
- Keep contact and personal details out: phone, email, date of birth and address do not belong in the summary.

Common profile summary mistakes
- Opening with "I am a hard-working, dedicated professional": adjectives with no proof behind them.
- Copying a sample word for word. If a line is not true for you, one interview question will show it.
- Listing every tool you have ever opened instead of the skills the job asks for.
- Numbers you cannot explain, or that you rounded up.
- An objective about what you want from the company, with nothing about what you bring.
- Leaving it unchanged after a job change, so it disagrees with your resume.
Frequently asked questions
What is a profile summary on Naukri?
It is a short paragraph on your Naukri profile that describes your experience, your skills and the role you want next. Naukri's profile guide says it "gives a clear idea to recruiters about your career and education highlights".
How long should a Naukri profile summary be?
Naukri shows a character counter when you edit the summary. Naukri Campus suggests 2 to 3 sentences for a fresher, and a Naukri blog guide suggests 3 to 4 sentences. This tool writes 3 to 5 sentences and keeps each summary within 800 characters.
What is the difference between the resume headline and the profile summary?
The headline is one line: the role you want, your experience and your top skills. The summary is a short paragraph that adds proof, such as what you built, handled or improved, and says what kind of role you want next.
Should I write my Naukri profile summary in the first person?
First person reads naturally ("I build dashboards in Power BI"), as long as not every sentence starts with "I". The third person ("He is a dedicated professional") reads as if someone else wrote it.
What should a fresher with no experience write?
Your degree, the role you want, the skills you can show, and proof from projects, internships, college roles or certificates you actually hold. Two or three honest sentences beat a long paragraph of adjectives.
Will the generator invent facts?
It is instructed to use only what you type: no employers, certifications or numbers you did not give. Where a number would help, it writes [METRIC] or leaves the number out. Read both options before you paste one into Naukri and delete anything that is not true.
Is this generator free? Do I need an account?
It is free and works without an account. Free AI requests have a daily limit; if you reach it, try again the next day, or sign in to a free Resumity account, which has a higher daily limit.
What happens to the details I type?
They are sent to our AI provider to write the options. Leave out your phone number, email and other personal details; the tool does not need them.
