Mobile app developer resume template
Short answer
Use Meridian for a cross-platform mobile developer. It prints skills above experience, so Flutter, React Native and the store tooling are read first, and it places a Projects section ahead of education for an app you published yourself. The fictional sample has nearly four years of shipping one codebase to iOS and Android: a release every fortnight, an offline mode and a crash-rate fix.

Why Meridian suits a mobile app developer resume
Meridian lists skills in labelled rows above work experience and prints projects before education. Cross-platform developers are hired on the framework first (Flutter or React Native), and a self-published app is often the strongest proof, so both land high on a plain page with no colour.
Second choice: FAANGPath. FAANGPath uses the same order with full-width rules under each heading and a dot after each skill label; the choice is down to taste.
What goes in each section, in Meridian's order
Meridian prints its sections in a fixed order, the same in the PDF and the Word file. Here is that order for this sample, and what to put in each section.
- Professional Summary. Lead with the framework and both platforms ("Flutter apps for iOS and Android from one codebase"), then the kind of app and its audience. If you also write Swift or Kotlin, say how much: hiring managers want to know whether you can fix a platform bug yourself.
- Skills. Three rows: languages and frameworks (Dart, Flutter, TypeScript, React Native), store and build tooling (Xcode, Android Studio, Fastlane, TestFlight, Play Console), then working skills. Store tooling separates someone who ships from someone who only writes screens.
- Work Experience. Cover the whole release cycle: how often you ship, how many people use the app, what broke and how you fixed it. Crash-free sessions, store rejections handled, offline behaviour and native plugins are all evidence that only mobile work produces.
- Projects. An app you published yourself shows you have been through store review, signing and updates on your own. Give its name, what it does, which stores carry it and one number such as installs.
- Education. Degree and year. If you learned mobile development on a course, add it as a second line; a published app still does more than the certificate.

Mobile App Developer, Flutter and React Native
Melbourne, VIC | liam.nguyen@example.com | +61 491 570 156 | github.com/sample-liam-nguyen | linkedin.com/in/sample-liam-nguyen
Mobile developer with nearly four years shipping cross-platform apps to the App Store and Google Play. Builds in Flutter day to day, with React Native agency work before that and enough Swift and Kotlin to write small platform plugins.
Experience
Mobile App Developer, Kitebird Health, Melbourne, VIC (03/2024 to Present)
- Ship the Flutter booking and exercise app to iOS and Android every two weeks; about 60,000 patients use it each month.
- Built offline mode for exercise programs with local storage and background sync, so sessions work without signal.
- Raised crash-free sessions from 98.1% to 99.6% by working through the top crash clusters in Firebase Crashlytics.
- Wrote a small Swift plugin that reads step counts from HealthKit, the app's first native module.
Junior Mobile Developer, Southgate Apps, Melbourne, VIC (01/2023 to 02/2024)
- Built screens and API integrations in React Native and TypeScript for three client apps.
- Rewrote a permissions prompt after an App Store review rejection; the resubmitted build was approved the next day.
- Added Detox end-to-end tests for login and checkout in a retail loyalty app.
Projects
Tram Times: A Flutter app showing live tram arrivals from a city open-data feed, published on the App Store and Google Play.
- About 2,000 installs, maintained in spare time since 2023.
- Home screen widgets on both platforms.
Education
Bachelor of Information Technology, Southbank Institute of Technology (11/2022)
Skills
Dart, Flutter, React Native, TypeScript, Swift (plugins), Kotlin (plugins), Offline sync, Xcode, Android Studio, Fastlane, TestFlight, Google Play Console, Firebase Crashlytics, Release planning, Working with clinicians
How to make the sample yours
Swap Flutter for the framework you use
If you build in React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform or .NET MAUI, change the headline, summary and first skills row. List native languages only at the level you really have, as the sample does with "Swift (plugins)".
Replace the user numbers with your own
Monthly active users, installs or rating count come from App Store Connect and Play Console. For an internal app, give the number of staff using it.
Keep one release-process bullet
The sample answers a store rejection and gets approved the next day. Yours might be setting up Fastlane, phased rollouts or code signing: whatever shows you can get a build onto real phones.
Link the store listing, not only GitHub
A reviewer can install a published app in a minute. Add the store page as a portfolio link in the header if the app is public.
Describe agency apps you cannot name
Write "a loyalty app for a supermarket chain" instead of the client name if your contract requires it. The type of app and its size still count.
Keywords to keep where they are true
Terms this kind of resume is usually searched for. Use the posting's exact wording, and only for work you have done.
- mobile app development
- Flutter
- Dart
- React Native
- iOS and Android
- App Store Connect
- Google Play Console
- TestFlight
- Fastlane
- Firebase Crashlytics
- push notifications
- offline-first
- platform channels
- crash-free sessions
Mistakes to avoid
- Saying "iOS and Android" without showing that you shipped to both stores.
- Listing Swift and Kotlin at the same level as your main framework when you have only read the code.
- App ideas or course tutorials presented as projects. Include only apps someone can install or code someone can read.
- Leaving out how many people use the app. Mobile work without a user figure reads like a prototype.
How the sample PDF reads in text extractors
We exported this sample with Resumity's PDF exporter in Chrome on 2026-10-29 and read the file back with three open-source text extractors. This shows whether software that turns a PDF into text can recover it; it is not a test of any commercial applicant tracking system. How we test templates.
| Extractor | Name, email, phone | Headings | Bullets intact |
|---|---|---|---|
| pdf.js 4.10.38 | All found | 5 of 5 | 9 of 9 |
| pdftotext (Xpdf) 4.00 | All found | 5 of 5 | 9 of 9 |
| pypdf 6.13.0 | All found | 5 of 5 | 9 of 9 |
Frequently asked questions
Do I need native iOS or Android skills on a cross-platform resume?
They help. Many Flutter and React Native roles involve writing small platform channels or native modules, so list what you have done, such as a Swift plugin for one feature, at its real depth.
How do I show an app I published myself?
In Projects: the name, one line on what it does, the stores it is in and one number. If the code is public, link the repository as well.
Should I include store ratings?
Only with the rating count, and only if the rating reflects your work. A 4.7 from 30 reviews is weaker evidence than a crash-free rate you raised.
What if all my apps were built for agency clients?
Describe each app by type and size rather than client name, and ask the agency what you are allowed to say. The store listing itself may still be public.
Is one page enough for about four years of mobile work?
Yes. Two jobs, one project and a skills block fit on one page with room for a short summary.
Will applicant tracking systems read this Meridian PDF?
The sample PDF read back with its contact details, all 5 section headings and all 9 bullets intact in three open-source text extractors (pdf.js, pdftotext and pypdf). Commercial systems such as Workday, Greenhouse or Taleo were not tested, and each employer configures its own.
