Where the numbers in a resume like this come from
The figures above are made up, but each is a kind of number you can look up. Before you put one on your resume, find it in one of these places. If you cannot, describe the scope instead.
| Number | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Budget and variance | Your budget-versus-actual tracker or finance reports. Quote the range or the variance, not a figure you cannot show. |
| Schedule (planned versus actual dates) | The baseline plan in MS Project or Smartsheet against the real go-live. |
| Team size and vendors | The project resource plan or organisation chart. |
| Risks and issues | RAID log history. |
Adapting this example
- Write budgets in your reader’s currency: ₹ crore or lakh for Indian employers, converted amounts with the currency named for roles abroad.
- Agile-only roles: replace the budget column with sprint goals met, release frequency or cycle time.
- Moving up from coordinator: show the parts you owned outright, such as a workstream, the RAID log or vendor reporting.
- Three to five projects with clear results beat a long list of every engagement.
