Technical recruiter resume template
Short answer
Meridian works for a technical recruiter because skills print above experience, so an engineering hiring manager sees the stacks you recruit for and the sourcing tools you use before the job history. It is plain and colourless, which suits engineering readers. The fictional sample hires robotics, backend and embedded engineers in-house after two years at an IT staffing agency.

Why Meridian suits a technical recruiter resume
Meridian prints skills before work experience, so a technical recruiter can show the stacks they hire for (Go, Python, embedded C++) and their sourcing methods before any job. Engineering managers and recruiting leads check that fluency first. The page uses no colour, only grey rules, which keeps it close to the plain resumes those engineers write themselves.
Second choice: Daniel. Daniel's rounded grey heading pills give a softer look with the same skills-first order, if you want the page to feel less like an engineer's.
What goes in each section, in Meridian's order
Meridian prints its sections in a fixed order, the same in the PDF and the Word file. Here is that order for this sample, and what to put in each section.
- Professional Summary. The roles you hire (backend, ML, embedded, data), the levels (new graduate to staff), in-house or agency, and roughly how many hires a year. A recruiting lead uses those four facts to judge fit.
- Skills. Two parts: the technology you recruit for, written as hiring areas rather than personal expertise, and your sourcing methods (Boolean and X-ray search, GitHub, referrals) with their tools. Meridian prints labelled rows, so keep the two apart.
- Work Experience. Show the funnel and the partnership: hires per year, pass-through rates you improved, offer acceptance, time to fill, and something you changed with hiring managers, such as the intake meeting or a scoring rubric.
- Education. Any degree. A course you took to understand the work (programming basics, cloud fundamentals) can go here if it helps your story.

Aisha Bello
Technical Recruiter, Engineering Hiring
Seattle, WA | aisha.bello@example.com | (206) 555-0175 | linkedin.com/in/sample-aisha-bello
In-house technical recruiter hiring backend, robotics software and embedded engineers from new graduate to staff level, about 25 to 30 hires a year. Previously filled contract and permanent IT roles at a staffing agency, so sourcing is a daily habit rather than an occasional push.
Experience
Technical Recruiter, Tidewater Robotics, Seattle, WA (03/2023 to Present)
- Closed 28 engineering hires in 2025 across backend, robotics software and embedded firmware teams, including two staff-level engineers.
- Source most pipelines myself through GitHub, conference speaker lists and Boolean search; about half of 2025 hires came from outbound sourcing.
- Rewrote the intake meeting template with engineering managers to agree on must-have skills and the interview plan before a job opens; onsite-to-offer rate rose from about one in five to one in three.
- Introduced a scoring rubric for take-home exercises so every reviewer grades the same criteria.
- Held offer acceptance near 85% by discussing compensation expectations with candidates early.
IT Recruiter, Summit Ridge Staffing, Bellevue, WA (06/2021 to 02/2023)
- Filled contract and contract-to-perm roles for developers, QA engineers and system administrators for 12 clients.
- Placed 40 contractors in 2022 and kept most of them on assignment through extensions.
- Built Boolean search strings for each recurring role and shared them with the team.

How to make the sample yours
List stacks as hiring areas
Write "hiring for Go and Python backend roles" rather than claiming the languages as skills. Engineers can tell the difference and will ask.
Pick funnel numbers you can explain
Onsite-to-offer rate, offer acceptance, time to fill: choose two or three you measured, and be ready to say how you moved them.
Show one change to the process
The sample rewrote the intake meeting and added a take-home scoring rubric. Replace them with a process change you led and its effect on the funnel.
Separate agency and in-house work
If you came from an agency, show contract and contract-to-perm volume there and hiring manager partnership in-house. They prove different things, and both help.
Name the recruiting tools you know
Write the systems you actually worked in (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Gem, LinkedIn Recruiter). Recruiting leads often ask which ones you can run without training.
Keywords to keep where they are true
Terms this kind of resume is usually searched for. Use the posting's exact wording, and only for work you have done.

Mistakes to avoid
- Claiming programming languages as your own skills. List them as the areas you recruit for.
- Counting interviews scheduled as the main result; hiring managers want hires and a strong pipeline.
- A jumble of every framework from a job description with no hires attached to any of them.
- Naming candidates or quoting their compensation.
How the sample PDF reads in text extractors
We exported this sample with Resumity's PDF exporter in Chrome on 2026-10-29 and read the file back with three open-source text extractors. This shows whether software that turns a PDF into text can recover it; it is not a test of any commercial applicant tracking system. How we test templates.
| Extractor | Name, email, phone | Headings | Bullets intact |
|---|---|---|---|
| pdf.js 4.10.38 | All found | 4 of 4 | 8 of 8 |
| pdftotext (Xpdf) 4.00 | All found | 4 of 4 | 8 of 8 |

Frequently asked questions
How technical does a technical recruiter need to look on paper?
Enough to show you understand the roles: the difference between backend and platform work, what an embedded engineer does, which skills a senior hire must have. You do not need to write code; show that you can hold a credible screening conversation.
Should I list programming languages on a technical recruiter resume?
Yes, framed as hiring areas ("hiring for Go and Python backend roles"). Recruiting leads search for the stacks you have recruited for, and the framing avoids implying you write code.
What numbers matter most for a technical recruiter?
Hires per year and their level, the share you sourced yourself, pass-through rates at each stage, offer acceptance and time to fill. Use the ones your team tracked.
How do I move from agency to in-house technical recruiting?
Keep the volume and sourcing from your agency years, and add evidence of partnership: intake meetings you led, interview feedback you chased, hiring managers you advised. In-house teams want both speed and influence.
Should I mention diversity sourcing work?
Describe what you actually did, such as sourcing from new communities or partnering with university groups, and how it changed your pipelines. Keep it to actions and avoid quoting demographic figures about candidates.
Will applicant tracking systems read this Meridian PDF?
The sample PDF read back with its contact details, all 4 section headings and all 8 bullets intact in three open-source text extractors (pdf.js, pdftotext and pypdf). Commercial systems such as Workday, Greenhouse or Taleo were not tested, and each employer configures its own.
