Dear [Hiring manager’s name],
I am applying for the Site Operations Manager role at your new fulfilment centre. I currently run a 2.2 lakh sq ft site shipping about 28,000 orders a day, and up to 45,000 during sale events, with 420 staff across three shifts.
Your posting mentions productivity and peak readiness. Re-slotting our top 500 SKUs and redesigning pick paths raised picks per labour hour from 92 to 118. For four major sale events I planned staffing and dock schedules, and same-day dispatch stayed above 97% on peak days.
Cost and safety matter as much as speed. Over the past year, packaging changes, fewer re-handles and better shift overlap cut our cost per order by 11%, and the site has had no lost-time injuries for eighteen months.
Setting up a new site is what I want to do next. In my previous role I opened three delivery hubs in six months, from hiring to SOPs. I’d welcome a conversation about your launch timeline.
Thank you for your consideration.
Regards, Vikram Singh
