Best Zety Alternatives (2026), Compared
Zety lets you build for free, but downloads are TXT only until you pay, and the $1.95 trial renews at $25.95 every 4 weeks unless you cancel. It also shares its terms with LiveCareer, MyPerfectResume and Resume Now, so switching between those changes little. These alternatives work differently.
What is the best Zety alternative?
Resumity (our product): free PDF and Word downloads with no watermark, unlimited resumes, and AI edits you approve, with one-time credit packs from ₹149 and no trial to cancel. FlowCV and Reactive Resume are the best fully free builders; Google Docs and Word templates are free if you do the writing yourself.
Why do people look for Zety alternatives?
- A trial that becomes $25.95 every 4 weeksZety’s 14-day trial is $1.95 and renews automatically at $25.95 every 4 weeks; the annual package is $71.40 and renews yearly. A visitor in India saw ₹195, then ₹445. (source)
- Free downloads are TXT onlyPDF and Word downloads need a paid package. Its terms add that stored resumes cannot be downloaded or printed without an active subscription. (source)
- Tracking data in downloaded resumesIts terms allow Zety to add tracking metadata and an identifier to resumes you download. (source)
- Same terms as its sister sitesZety’s terms name BOLD LLC as the contracting party, as do LiveCareer, MyPerfectResume and Resume Now, and say the site is directed at people in the United States. (source)
What does Zety do well?
It is worth knowing what you would give up. From Zety’s own pages:

How did we pick these tools?
We read each vendor’s pricing, FAQ and help pages and applied the same questions to every tool, Resumity included:
- What the free plan really includes. How many resumes, AI uses and downloads you get, which formats, whether there is a watermark, and whether the plan expires.
- Price and renewal terms. The cheapest paid option as the vendor lists it, and whether a short trial renews automatically at a higher price.
- Files that ATS software can read. Single-column layouts with real text, exported as PDF or DOCX.
- Tailoring to a job. Whether the tool compares your resume with a job description and helps you close real gaps.
- Why you are leaving. Each list is ordered for the usual reasons people leave the tool the page is about.
Because Resumity is our product, weigh our ranking accordingly and confirm prices on each site before you pay. We do not take payment from the tools listed here, and none of these links are affiliate links.
Questions
Is there a free alternative to Zety?
Yes. Resumity, FlowCV, Kickresume and Reactive Resume let you download a PDF free. Resumity and Reactive Resume also export Word, and Google Docs and Word templates are free.
Is Zety free?
You can build for free, but free downloads are TXT only. PDF and Word need a paid package, which starts as a $1.95 14-day trial and renews at $25.95 every 4 weeks unless cancelled.
How do I cancel Zety?
Its terms say you can cancel from the online cancel page in your account settings or through customer service, and Zety emails a cancellation number. Refunds are only possible if you cancel before the trial ends.
Are Zety, LiveCareer, MyPerfectResume and Resume Now the same company?
Their terms all name BOLD LLC as the contracting party and use the same trial-then-subscription model, though each site’s footer names a different company. Moving between them does not change the terms much.
