Dear [Hiring manager’s name],

I’m applying for the Senior Marketing Manager, Growth role. I own paid acquisition and lifecycle marketing for an edtech app with a ₹1.2 crore monthly budget, and in nine months we brought blended cost per paid subscriber from ₹1,450 to ₹1,080.

Your job post asks for someone who can tell real growth from noise. We stopped buying cheap installs after a holdout test showed they added few paying users, and moved budget to subscription-event bidding. On lifecycle, I built trial journeys across email and push; measured against a 10% holdout, trial-to-paid conversion rose from 6.1% to 7.4%.

I work closely with data and product. I set up GA4 and our measurement partner with the data team so every campaign reports cost per subscriber, and I run a weekly creative review with a backlog of tests for my team of four and our two agencies.

Your company is growing in smaller cities, where I ran launch campaigns for eleven new cities at a food delivery startup. I’d enjoy talking about how you measure incrementality today.

Thank you for reading.

Best, Priya Iyer

Adapt it to your own application

  1. Lead with the metric the target company cares about: acquisition cost, pipeline or retention.
  2. Say how each result was measured: holdout, A/B test or cohort comparison.
  3. B2B roles: talk about pipeline and sales-accepted leads from the CRM.
  4. Skip impressions and follower counts unless the role is about awareness.
